• Made from soft organic cotton poplin in bright pink, the Hattie is a classic, oversized shirt with long sleeves and a straight point collar. All the buttons are heart shaped and made of sea shell, so they have a beautiful sheen.
• Taryn is wearing 2XL and her height is 1.65m.
• Standard length from shoulder to hem is 72cms. Length can vary a few cms depending on size and the product showcased has been altered in length to best fit the model’s height.
• A poplin made from GOTS certified organic cotton that is both soft and sturdy – it is very pleasant to the touch, yet it has a stiffer quality to it that gives the items beautiful volume. It is neither fully opaque, nor see through, a perfect weight for warmer weather.

Hattie McDaniel is well known for her role in Gone with the Wind, a role which was honoured with an Academy Award, making Hattie the first black woman to win it. Segregation laws prevented her from attending the film’s premiere in Atlanta, Georgia, but later she proudly accepted her Academy Award as best supporting actress for this role. McDaniel appeared in more than 300 films and her own radio series, Beulah. Hattie’s Oscar was donated to Howard University through her will. It sat there in a display case until 1972, when it was boxed up and stored away and hasn’t been seen since.
