A lace-up corset with an accent frill at the waist and a heart attached on the chest that is lined with lace trim. The corset features a side zip and straps that are not sewn together, so they can either be tied in bows or at the back.

Discover the legacy of
Lise Meitner
Meitner was part of the team that discovered and explained nuclear fission and foresaw its explosive potential. She was the second woman to obtain a doctorate degree from the University of Vienna. In 1997, element 109 was named in her honor: meitnerium. In 1942, Meitner was invited to work on the Manhattan Project but adamantly refused, stating “I will have nothing to do with a bomb!” After the war, Meitner continued to avoid any connection to her research and the atomic bomb. In 1944, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Otto Hahn for his work on nuclear fission, but Meitner’s contributions were not recognized. Recognition for her scientific contributions included the Max Planck Medal in 1949 and the Enrico Fermi Award alongside Hahn and Strassmann in 1966.

- only wash when necessary by hand or dry clean; do not machine wash
- do not use bleach and be careful when using spot cleaning treatments to ensure they are suitable for the fabric at hand
- do not tumble dry
- iron inside out on low
