• Made from soft organic cotton teddy, the Matilde is a classic jacket silhouette wise, that errs on the longer side, it depends on everyone’s height where it ends, but it is made to reach past the lower back to keep all essentials warm during winter. It has an oversized hood, heart shaped pockets on the front and closes with a zipper.
• Karin is wearing 4XL and her height is 1.60m.
• Standard length from shoulder to hem is 75cms (can vary a few cms depending on size, standard length was measured on size L).

Matilde became the first woman to graduate from a high school in Ecuador in 1913, which she did with honours. She continued her education at the Universidad del Azuay, now known as University of Cuenca, to study medicine and then at the Central University, becoming the first female doctor in Ecuadorian history in 1921. Matilde used her new education to not only pave the way for women in the medical field, but also in the world of politics. After graduating, Hidalgo used her education to find a loophole in the constitution’s wording that permitted her to vote. As a result, Matilde became the first female in Ecuador to vote and became the country’s first elected female official in 1941.
