“Yaa” Dress Green Lyocell

For our autumn release “versatility” has been one of the keywords that was at the basis of our design process and we feel that the “Yaa” dress encompasses that. A simple A line silhouette with a touch of romance added by the pussy bow neckline and slightly puffed sleeves that is versatile even in design – instead of adding an elasticated waist, we chose to add a detachable tie instead so that it can be worn both loose and with a marked waist, depending on your mood that day.

• Made from soft lyocell in sage green, the Yaa is a classic A line midi dress with a pussy bow neckline, loose fitting with a slightly flared silhouette. Comes with a detachable tie so that you can wear it both as a loose silhouette or a marked waist. It has slight puffed sleeves, nothing too dramatic, just enough to add a romantic flair. The sleeves end in adaptable buttoned cuffs, each having two buttons to ensure two different widths for a tighter or looser cuff.
• Madalina is wearing 3XL and her height is 1.69m.
• Standard length from shoulder to hem is 132cms (can vary a few cms depending on size, standard length was measured on size L).
• One of the most beautiful and high quality fabrics we’ve had yet, the Lyocell is soft as butter with body and weight, very similar to a thick silk. Feels luxurious, but completely vegan and certified to ensure its gentleness to the environment.

Yaa Asantewaa was an influential Ashanti queen at the beginning of the twentieth century who remains a powerful symbol today. Yaa Asantewaa became famous for commanding the Ashanti Kings in the War of the Golden Stool, against British colonial rule to defend and protect the sovereign independence of the Golden Stool. While Yaa Asantewaa was captured by the British and deported, her bravery stirred a kingdom-wide movement for the return of Prempeh I and for independence.
