Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Hypatia was one of the greatest astronomers, philosophers and mathematicians of her time. Her father, Theon of Alexandria, helped her study and soon her knowledge surpassed his. She wore scholar’s attire instead of women clothing, drove her own chariot and chose her work over marriage. Her life was cut short when she was killed by a mob who felt threatened by her advancement in science. Her ideas lived and influenced people like Sir Isaac Newton and René Descartes.

This dress was part of my first order from Loud Bodies and I am very pleased with my whole experience. I was a bit nervous about this style as it is bodycon and I am not always 100% confident wearing such a style but I loved the cut and colour and wanted to try it. The fabric is thick and soft which means that the dress is comfortable to wear and it doesn’t cling in an unflattering way. I am really happy with how well made it is and how it looks. It is a sexy dress but it makes me look great.
I was also really impressed with how beautifully packaged my order was. You can tell that Loud Bodies takes real care of every single order. I will certainly be ordering from this shop again.
