Discover the legacy of
Komako Kimura
Komako Kimura was a prominent Japanese suffragist and actress. She famously marched in the October 27, 1917 suffrage march in New York. She also co-founded “The Real New Women’s Association” in 1913 and was the editor of its journal Shin Shin Fujin. Kimura also managed two theatres where she constantly challenged the way women were treated through the roles she chose to play. Kimura’s literary and theater work influenced the rights of women in Japan and the Women’s Suffrage Movement.

- only wash when necessary on a gentle cycle at 20°C or at most 30°C
- do not use bleach and be careful when using spot cleaning treatments to ensure they are suitable for the fabric at hand
- do not tumble dry
- iron inside out on low
