A poofy mini dress that’s made from soft Tencel in a beautiful pink hued floral print with peonies and magnolias on top of which is layered a light yellow lace. The bodice is fitted with a sweetheart neckline and an elasticated panel at the back and the skirt is puffy and gathered only on the sides. It’s short puffy sleeves are made only from the lace and the sleeve tops are adorned with a frill.

This fabric does not carry certifications because it is deadstock, which is inherently sustainable. We source deadstock (excess fabric) from luxury brands and save it from being dumped in a landfill or burned, the industry standard. Nothing new can be more sustainable than using something that is already produced, so using deadstock fabrics is a brilliant way to reduce textile waste and uphold sustainable values.

A very skilled aviator, Bessie Coleman became the first Black woman to stage a public flight in America in 1922. After being forced to study abroad because of racial prejudice, she earned her license from France’s well-known Caudron Brother’s School of Aviation in just seven months. Popularly known for her daring maneuvers, she would only perform at air exhibitions if the crowd was desegregated and permitted to enter through the same gates.
