“Sylvia” Bralette Lavender Ecovero

Description

Whether you choose to wear the Sylvia as a bralette on its own, or as a crop top with a bra underneath, it’s shape and construction ensure both coverage and support. It’s got thicker straps, so that it may either offer great support on larger busts as well, or cover a bra strap. Then, as opposed to usual bralettes, it doesn’t just have two triangles held together by a thin band underneath, but the triangles elongate towards the back, so that there actually is fabric all around to either hold a larger bust, or conceal a bra band. The band underneath has a band of elastic enclosed for extra support as well.

Sylvia Rivera was an often forgotten Latina activist that fought against the exclusion of transgender people and a pioneer of the fight for gay rights. She was a close friend of Marsha P. Johnson’s and a part of the famed Stonewall Inn uprising. She formed, alongside Marsha, the Street Transvestite Action Revolutioaries. Her legacy lives through the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.
